This Privacy Policy describes how Product Backup App ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Shopify application.

1. What Data We Collect

We collect the following data from your Shopify store:

• Product data (titles, descriptions, variants, pricing, images, tags, and other product metadata)
• Store identification information (shop domain, shop name) for associating backups with your store
• Email address provided by you for notification purposes

All data collected is strictly limited to what is necessary to provide product backup and restore functionality.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely for the following purposes:

• Creating and maintaining backups of your Shopify product data
• Restoring product data to your Shopify store when requested
• Sending notifications about product deletions or changes (if enabled)
• Generating CSV reports of deleted products

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than the backup and restore functionality described above.

3. Data Storage

Product snapshots and backup data are stored securely in our cloud infrastructure. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Encrypted data storage
• Access controls limiting data access to authorized systems only

4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or distribute your data to any third parties. Your product backup data remains exclusively accessible to you through our application.

5. Data Retention

Data retention is handled as follows:

• Backup data is stored securely for as long as your app remains installed
• Upon receiving a shop/redact request from Shopify, all data associated with your store is permanently deleted
• Upon app uninstallation, your backup data is removed in accordance with Shopify's GDPR requirements

6. Your Rights

As a merchant using Product Backup App, you have the following rights:

• You can view all backups stored for your products at any time
• You can uninstall the app, which will trigger removal of all your stored data
• You can request a full export of your stored data by contacting us

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

8. Pricing & Plans

Product Backup App offers the following plans:

• Free Plan: Backup up to 5 products at no cost
• Pro Plan: $7/month for unlimited product backups, billed through Shopify

All billing is managed through Shopify's secure billing system. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Shopify Admin under Settings → Billing.
